Process of Obtaining ATEX Certification
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
APPLICATION
The ATEX System aims to facilitate international trade in equipment for use in explosive atmospheres, while upholding the necessary safety standards. Conformity with the ATEX Directive is one of the mandatory requirements to enable products designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres to be CE marked for access to the European Market.
Upon a successful application, KL Exert will meticulously review the design documentation and request sample configurations for assessment and testing. Subsequently, where applicable an audit of the manufacturer’s process will be conducted, and a Quality Assurance Notification (QAN) will be issued. The ATEX NB Certificate and Scope can be viewed and downloaded for reference.
We are committed to providing comprehensive testing and certification solutions, and our attainment of the ATEX NB status underscores our dedication to ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment used in explosive atmospheres.
